How Do You Do It?

• Pre-sell, get commitments to buy and  calculate walk in business.
• Start with a moderate number the first year.
• Set up a lot in a prominent area. ( Lot set-up is optional..can pre-sell and deliver to point of delivery for one day ONLY). 
• Schedule everyone in your organization to work the lot, this includes EVERY member and parents.
• The tree sales area must be set up. Parking lots are great with good traffic visibility near or in commercial area.
• Check for permit requirements.

• You will need a source of electricity, lights and display stands for your trees.
• A protective area from the sun and wind is needed to store the trees. This can be achieved with winter protection material. In warmer climates such as Florida, a tent may be needed for sales and protection. 
• A shelter for workers is also very helpful. This can range from a small tent to a camper or a car.

If your organization is large, this is the perfect fundraiser because with great trees, most of the people in your group will buy from you. The key is selling a great tree.
